    » Hunter Take Away Videos

Alexandre François and Gaspar Claus produced four acoustic "take away videos" for And Also The Trees in Paris last winter. They are now released in the series Les Concerts A Emporter on La Blogothèque.

They feature "A woman on the Estuary", "Whisky Bride", "Only" and "Burn Down This Town" with commentaries from the band what these songs are about. And from the video producers about the day of shooting of these videos.

Do not miss this excellent insightful presentation presented by La Blogothèque, the guys which also brought you the unique 'Back on Stage' footage of Paris La Maroquinerie 2007.

» Love this Blogotheque session a lot , very original!
Maybe some of you haven't noticed ('cause it's not really obvious for non french readers) but there's in fact a fifth video : a bonus one of "bloodline" is available : to watch it you just have to click on the blue part of the very last line of the article signed by Alexandre François.(By the way this guy is really a brilliant chronicler and critic, in my opinion he is establishing himself as the best exegete of AATT in the french media)
Also, for information (well i think i haven't read any topic about it before) LES DISQUES DU 7ieme CIEL (7ciel.net)presents a streaming (you can also download it)compilation including most of the artists & bands who played live on their parisian terrace.(Remember AATT played their first acoustic set there in 2008)
Each artist plays a cover version of another band : There's two covers of AATT and Simon Huw Jones covers a song of a band named THE SLEEPING YEARS. Simon is accompanied by Alexandre VARLET on guitar.Varlet is a talented french guitarist singer songwriter (Alexandrevarlet.com). It seems there's a good artistic connection between Simon & him. They both appeared on GOODBYE IVAN last cd and A.VARLET played as opening guest on AATT parisian concert this year.
I've also read that later this autumn SHAYO RECORDS (Goodbye ivan, Varlet,November)will publish a 2 tracks 12" vinyl by Goodbye Ivan including remixed versions of the songs featuring Simon & Varlet.
I'm personally very pleased with this connection : i'm an old follower of both AATT and Varlet...
Cheerio & best to all AATT friends.
