The long awaited live DVD (playable in all regions) had been released and is ready for order.
Next to the show in Geneva from the Further From The Truth tour it features three music video films: 21 York Street, The Untangled Man and Hard Stone Day. The individually numbered digi-packaged DVD is a small mail-order only release. Most supposably when all copies are gone, they are gone...

More infos on the band's official site.

Please add your review or feedback to the DVD in the comments.

    » Some first impressions:

The DVD comes as a full color three page fold-out digi-pack that will look great in your shelf.

The menu: Background is in the style of the cover of the DVD with animation & sound very nicely done. The font text seams a bit blurry though.

The live concert: The band fascinate performing live as they're known and loved for. Songs like Brother Fear, Genevive, A room lives in Lucy, Slow Pulse Boy, Virus Meadow or Wallpaper Dying have been captured specially well and are simply a joy to watch.
Picture quality while obviously far from perfect is fine enough & specially it can be heard that the audio was painstakingly taken care of.
Form the directing/editing point of view the DVD succeeds in creating a varied concert film in most parts specially considering the limited recording possiblities and cameras. The skillfull use of stage lightning add to that.
There are two aspects though I would have like to see: including also some total stage views on the later part of the show and less usage of awry angles at the closeups. While the later is generally welcome for adding to the variety of view it has been overdone for my opinion in this case. On the other side people prefering closeups may particulary love that decision.
In summery the Geneva live concert is a lush & worthy visual presentation of AATT live in action in 2003; a good memorabillia for whose that have been at the Further From The Truth European tour and the best substitute one can get who missed it.

The three enclosed videos are rare gems that have been included:

Good to see Justin Jones' Hard Stone Day released at last. Produced in 1999 it would have been a shame if the film wouldn't have seen the light of day even having some picture noise. It features some previously unheard film music of Justin and Paul and features Simon as narrator while the film starts with calm pictures which increase steadily in pace up to the end shifting from rural to bustling urban sceneries. That's like one will imagine an AATT short film.

21 York Street is an arty "picturing" which uses abstract moving images similiar you see in the artwork styles of the DVD cover, the Best-Of CD and the FFTT artwork accompanied with related words and phrases that flashes in and out. Maybe not a clip you might expect to a song like that. Surly an intersting and amazing visual compostion.

Anyone lucky enough having seen Paul Hill's film Adam's Apple will be familiar with his very own distinct directing style he now put into the video The Untangled Man. The result is brilliant! Any Tim Burton devotee will love it. Many others I think as well, maybe not. It's also very arty but very different to the style found in the video to 21 York Street. You guessed it: For me it's the personal highlight on the DVD!

Needeless to say that the 5.1 audio of the two FFTT songs is excellent as to expect from an AATT production.

    More of such works please...!

    » Hello,

Any idea of a possibility in the future to get the text Simon narrates in Justin's great video and music)?

» Really great video. Good atmosphere, another different sound, renewing the
    AATT experience.
Will find a great position in my top lost, very close to "the evening of the 24th".
Looking forward your next performance in Paris - still vibrating from Le Batofar !!
